    Tips to remove stains from your rugs

    Rugs and carpets make a room look beautiful and complete. A well decorated room will appear more appealing if a matching rug adores the floor.
    But, dirt and dust accumulates easily and so cleaning them regularly is very important. Sometimes chocolate, coffee, tomato sauce, ink or any other substance that can cause stains may spill on the rugs. It is a very common scenario if you have pets or kids at home.

    You can use a clean cloth, especially white to absorb the stain when it is fresh. Use the right thinner for diluting the stain which makes the absorption faster. Wait till the maximum amount of the item spilled is absorbed. Never rub, just blot the stained part. Now, use water mixed with lemon to clean the remaining stain from the fibers. The citric acid is a great stain remover.

    One of the most amazing products is white vinegar which act wonders in removing stains. Incase of ink or blood stains, alcohol rubbing is a great option. You can also use diluted ammonia as it is the best rug stain remover.
