Picking the right kind of lighting for your kid’s room is very important. Along with the décor lighting plays a very important role. You can use white globes with a textured surface. These allow the entry of a lot of light and the ceiling becomes lighted. If you child has an interest in flying machines you can use light fixtures based on the aviation theme. There is a range of frosted glass shades that are available in the shape of planes, helicopters and space crafts.
You can also use ceramic light fixtures. You can buy them and decorate them yourself. Use water based paint to paint the fixtures. Buy white fixtures where you can paint easily. There are various shapes of the fixtures that are available.
Try using small sized chandeliers in your child’s bedroom. You can use some whimsically designed ones to give an overwhelming effect to the room. Mini lampshades are also a good option. They are functional and elegant at the same time.
